 Senior Researcher and Lecturer more than 30 years experience as Academic and Senior in Research

  • Developed the Department of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 1990.
    • Developed the diagnostic work up for hematological malignancy by flow cytometry and genetic with collaboration with another hospital private and National Guard Hospital and diagnostic work up for pediatric oncology with the Pathology Department.
    • In-charge and Head Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology at KAUH.
  • In early 1990 established a diagnostic lab for inherited blood disease (thalassemia, hemoglobinopathies and G6PD deficiency) and put the policy and procedures in Blood Bank for the safety of donors for thalassemia e.g. (screening for hepatitis C).
  • Initiate the Multi-disciplinary treatment for inherited blood disease in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, 1991.
  • Initiate a Prevention Program of Hemoglobinopathies at King Fahd Military Hospital. 1996.
  • Initiated the Prevention Program for the Inherited Blood Disorders by Public, Medical Education & Pre-marital and Neonatal Screening at King Abdulaziz University Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. 1998.

  • A registered patent discovery of a new experimental successful treatment for cancer.
